What's the difference between the Connoisseur and Explorer tickets?
Great question! The Connoisseur ticket is our tasting-inclusive option, where the wine tastings/flights at all three wineries are pre-selected and included in the price. The Explorer ticket provides the same luxury transportation and perks but allows you the flexibility to purchase your own tastings or glasses of wine at each stop.
Where are the pickup and drop-off locations?
We have two convenient pickup locations to make your day easy: the West Falls Church Metro Kiss & Ride at 10:00 AM and the October One Vineyard Tasting Room in Leesburg at 11:15 AM. We return to the same locations at the end of the tour.
How long does the tour last?
The entire experience is approximately 8 hours from the first pickup to the final drop-off. This includes travel time and spending between 1 to 1.5 hours at each of the three wonderful wineries.
Is this a "party bus"?
While we are all about having fun, Vineyard Voyages is a sophisticated wine tasting experience, not a "party bus" or "drunk bus." Our goal is to provide a refined, educational, and enjoyable journey through wine country. We focus on responsible enjoyment and keeping our guests hydrated and happy throughout the day.
Can we bring our own food or drinks on the bus?
You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on the bus. However, due to ABC regulations, no outside alcohol is permitted. We provide complimentary water to keep you hydrated!
What is included in the ticket price?
Both ticket types include round-trip transportation on our luxury, climate-controlled bus (with WiFi and USB plugs!), a knowledgeable and friendly guide, exclusive perks and discounts at the wineries, and complimentary bottled water. The Connoisseur ticket also includes the cost of tastings at all three wineries.
Do you offer tours for large groups?
Absolutely! We love hosting larger groups for bachelorette parties, birthdays, and corporate outings. Public tour bookings with 10 or more guests automatically receive a $5 discount per person. We also offer private, curated vineyard journeys for a completely customized experience.
What should I wear?
We recommend smart casual attire. Comfort is key, so wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking on uneven ground or through vineyards. It's also a good idea to check the weather and bring a light jacket or sweater, even on warmer days, as tasting rooms can be cool.
Are there non-alcoholic options at the wineries?
Yes, all of our partner wineries offer non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. Many also offer delicious food and snacks.
