A private day shaped around the people and moments that matter.
The best celebration doesn't feel like a standard package. It feels chosen for the guest of honor and easy for the person organizing it.
Milestone birthdays
A meaningful year, celebrated with a private day that's more memorable than another dinner reservation.
Anniversaries
Mark the years together with beautiful scenery, good wine, and time with the people who shared the journey.
Retirements
Honor a career and the next chapter with a relaxed outing built around conversation, recognition, and a well-earned toast.
Reunions
Bring family or old friends together without asking one person to drive, coordinate reservations, or watch the clock.
Bridal showers & graduations
A polished daytime celebration before the next chapter, with room for photos, food, and conversation.
Just because
Sometimes the reason is simply that your favorite people are together and everyone deserves an easy day away.
A thoughtfully paced day from pickup to return.
Most private celebrations run four to eight hours. This shows how a relaxed day might flow.
Private pickup
Your bus arrives at the home, hotel or central spot you choose. Everyone settles in together; nobody drives.
The first toast
A partner winery selected for the atmosphere, hospitality and experience the group wants.
Vineyard lunch
Lunch, charcuterie or another selected food experience, with dietary needs coordinated in advance.
A second setting
A venue with a different feel: scenic, lively, wine-focused, or especially good for conversation.
The easy return
We manage departure timing and the ride back, so the organizer enjoys the celebration too.

“My family and I had a great time touring the local wineries with Vineyard Voyages. It was the perfect way to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and Christian was a great tour guide.”
Good to know
Can we choose our pickup location and wineries?
Yes. Private groups choose their pickup and drop-off point anywhere in the DC area and can request specific partner wineries, subject to availability, travel time and the flow of the day.
Can we bring a cake, decorations, or gifts?
Share your ideas before the tour so we can confirm what's practical for the vehicle and the wineries. Venue rules and storage vary, so these details are approved in advance.
How big can the group be?
Groups of 10 to 50 on our own vehicles; smaller groups are arranged on request. Our 27-passenger executive bus anchors the fleet, with larger or smaller vehicles arranged when needed.
How far in advance should we plan?
About one month ahead is ideal, especially for popular weekends, larger groups, or days with tastings and food. Shorter-notice requests are often possible depending on vehicle and winery availability.
How long does a private tour last?
Most private days run four to eight hours. A shorter outing supports fewer stops; a longer day allows more time for tastings, food, photos, and a relaxed pace.
Are tastings and meals automatically included?
No. Every proposal is customized. Tastings, lunch, charcuterie, catering, and other extras are included only when you select them and they're confirmed in your proposal.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and guests who don't drink?
Dietary restrictions can usually be accommodated with advance notice. Most partner wineries offer non-alcoholic choices, and selected routes can include a partner brewery or cidery.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. Our partner wineries have inviting tasting rooms and indoor spaces, so the group stays comfortable when the weather changes.
